english tutorial for Preset creating

Please dont ask me for Help. This Tutorial is simple enough to understand. I just translated this tut for you, i had no help too to learn it. please try to understand that i have no time to spend 24 hours to help 5348535245645 players. i have a real Life, like all others too. so dont forget, im just a Human, like you too, a Living that need to Rest, to Work, to trade. im not a mashine that make all wishes true.

that i translated was a free choice, to help you out. not more not less. thanks for patience, and i hope you can respect that.
dont be mad, if this tut is not teachable for you, ask another for helps. but not me. i hope you can respect that.

----------- Step 1 - Installing IT v3 -----------


Soo..

as first you need a Old version of Impressive Title.

The best version for that is Version 3. Download and install it
(IMPORTANT: DONT install it in your Impressive title 0.5 ) it need an own folder:

IMPORTANT:
the v3 cannot work with winged characters. this is just for chars without wings.

As first you need to know where are the installed Files them we need.
The "name"-title is the Name of the Character :) :


UnitPresets.cfg is in C:\Programme\Impressive Title\game\Release\

name.material is in C:\Programme\Impressive Title\media\materials\scripts\

NameHeadTex.jpg is in C:\Programme\Impressive Title\media\materials\textures\

NameEyeTex.jpg is in C:\Programme\Impressive Title\media\materials\textures\

NameBodyTex.jpg is in C:\Programme\Impressive Title\media\materials\textures\

NameTailTex.jpg is in C:\Programme\Impressive Title\media\materials\textures\

----------- Step 3 - editing the UnitPreset File -----------

go to the C:\Programme\Impressive Title\game\Release\ folder and open the UnitPresets.cfg with the "Editor" of Windows.

All windows versions have a Editor.

right-click on the Unitpreset file, click in the popup on properties, and go on "open with". Choose the Editor, and click overtake and okay.

now should pop up the unitpreset file as open file :)

Now go to the old IT game symbol (a black pawprint) on the desktop and run that game. Go to Multiplayer Mode and create a new Character. If the Character looks like you want, write on a paper the Numbers of the bodyparts that you used.

close that game and go back to the Presetfile. Dont be worried if there are many chars already. do the same like them. write your Name, and then all the bodyparts what you created.

My Preset text for example :

[RikoDuroska]
Head1
Mane4
Tail1
RikoDuroskaMat


finished.
Now go on File, Save, and close it.

now go to C:\Programme\Impressive Title\media\materials\scripts and copy one, and paste it directly.

now should be created a " Copy of RikoDuroska.mat ". Now rename it to your characters name. for example TC1.mat and open it.

now Delete all text inner the file and include the following:

Change the Names into your Charnames.

Save it and close the file now.

this should be now the first result.

a complete white Lion ( or lioness), just his created model.

go now into the game, click multiplayer and create new. Click on Presets now and if your scripttext was in the first line should be there now your preset.

if it look so, you finished the presetmodel. congraz :D

now we step now to the textures, i will show you :)

Go into the folder C:\Programme\Impressive Title\media\materials\textures and look for the Head Tex what you want to edit.

This is the standard Head Tex of Riko Duroska.:

and we will edit him now to our own char.

Use a good Draw-program like Photoshop or Gimp, or Open Canvas. Gimp and Open Canvas are for Free and excellent for texture drawing.

Warning:

the new Catrace with long ears is not the same texture construction like the standard lion.

look at the c:\Programme\Impressive Title\media\materials\textures folder to find nice example for that what you seek, or you look ingame through the presets (its more easy) and then you look for the char texture of this char what you seen.

draw all the texture of your lion/Cat until its finished.

this are all the files you have to edit.:

NameHeadTex.jpg is in C:\Programme\Impressive Title\media\materials\textures\

NameEyeTex.jpg is in C:\Programme\Impressive Title\media\materials\textures\

NameBodyTex.jpg is in C:\Programme\Impressive Title\media\materials\textures\

NameTailTex.jpg is in C:\Programme\Impressive Title\media\materials\textures\


you will often switch between Game and Drawing, so that all texture will draw correct.


and if all is finished.
